First Baptist Churh Halifax extends sincere sympathy to Andrew (Drew), Paula and Vanessa Taylor in the loss of their beloved son, Alexander (Alex) on Tuesday, Februrary 5th.

AlexanderTaylorTAYLOR, Alexander M. — 23, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Alex grad­uated from Dalhousie University in May, 2012, having attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio, Micro-Bio and Immunology (with Honours). He had planned to further his stud­ies. Alex enjoyed the outdoors, an avid kayaker, hik­er and runner. Alex is survived by his parents, Drew and Paula Taylor of Ham­monds Plains, as well as his young­er sister, Vanessa. A special thanks to all his friends who supported him through the past months. Their com­pany was welcomed by Alex. Our deepest thanks go to the entire team on 8A, and, the 4th Floor Medical Day Unit. Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Couban for his compassion towards Alex and David Maginley from Spiri­tual Care. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Alexander Taylor Memo­rial Scholarship at Dalhousie Univer­sity which Alex’s family has devel­oped in accordance with his wishes as a legacy to his memory.
