MORGAN, Doris Ruth (Albright), R.N. Born December 23, 1913 died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in her 100th year. Born in Victoria Corner, NB, she began her career nursing and teaching nursing in Woodstock, NB, and later was Head Nurse and Night Supervisor at Camp Hill Hospital in Halifax before retiring in 1973. Doris was a charter member of Bayers Road United Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities including as one of the first female deacons. Survived by daughter, Alberta; son, Larry (Lois); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, David; her daughter, Margaret (Marnie); great-grandson Benjamin Clarke. Last surviving sibling of eight children. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a gracious lady with a beautiful smile and for her sugar cookies with pink icing. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Bayers Road Baptist Church, 7077 Bayers Rd., Rev. Leslie McCurdy officiating. Reception to follow. An interment will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Hartland, NB, Greenwood Cemetery.
