Recently, our Community Outreach Committee, volunteers, and Youth Group had the privilege of supporting two institutions in our community, and they wanted us to know how grateful they are:
“I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and the entire Youth Group of First Baptist Church, Halifax, for your generous donation to the DSU Food Bank. As shared, this donation will go a long way in helping us address the growing food insecurity being faced currently. We are truly grateful for the effort and compassion shown by everyone involved. God bless every hand that contributed to making this possible.”
“You are making a lasting impact. Thank you for your recent gift of $250 to Prison Fellowship Canada, designated to our Angel Tree Christmas program. Your church’s gift allows children of incarcerated individuals to receive gifts from their parents at Christmas time – a season where the separation they experience can be especially difficult. This past Christmas, 5,006 children were able to receive gifts, thanks to your participation! At the heart of this ministry is our prayer that each child would discover the deep and enduring love of Jesus and that these seeds of faith would grow and shape their lives for years to come.
I am reminded of the words of Jesus: “Let the little children come to me. Don’t keep them away. The kingdom of heaven belongs to people like them.” We long to see these young ones grow in the confidence of God’s love for them and His faithful presence with them.
Thank you for partnering with us in Jesus’ ongoing ministry of comfort and restoration.”
Gratitude is a circle, and the support of our volunteers keeps it turning. We’re looking forward to many more opportunities to give back!
Thank you, FBCH volunteers!
