FBCH Youth Group
2026-2027
FBCH Youth Group is for students in grades 7-12. We meeting after worship monthly, typically the last Sunday of the month. This school year we’ll reflect on Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount while putting faith into action by sharing food with neighbours.

This year Thomas Beech will be our Youth Group Assistant, leading our reflections on the Sermon on the Mount. Meet Thomas:
Hi folks! I’m Thomas (they/he), and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to walk with the youth of FBCH as we learn and serve together at youth group! I grew up in Waterloo, Ontario where I was nourished by rich soil and fresh water in the Grand River Watershed and grew in faith through hearty hymn singing and community at my home congregation, Waterloo North Mennonite Church (and elsewhere!). Now, I’m beginning my last year of study toward a BA in Contemporary Studies at King’s and Religious Studies at Dalhousie. The past several summers, I have worked at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, most recently in the role of Spiritual Life Coordinator. I’ve also had the chance to explore ministry leadership through an internship program at Waterloo North Mennonite Church and Mennonite Church Eastern Canada, that I participated in in 2024. I’ve been attending FBCH since January, and I’ve loved getting to know the community here, singing together with the choir, and now connecting with the youth!
