Guest Speaker: Ruth Jackson

Ruth Jackson
Ruth is an avid gardener and plant enthusiast. Her early career with the Geological Survey of Canada has helped to shape her love of gardens as she thinks of the garden soil in layers. She is a past president of the Atlantic Rhododendron & Horticultural Society (ARHS) where she held this position for four-years. Her garden has been featured in a Canadian gardening magazine, and also part of the YMCA Garden Tours, Halifax. Last year, Ruth visited two of the world’s major botanical gardens: Kew Gardens, UK, and Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania. She is an avid fan of the BBC
TV how “Gardeners’ World” and the American YouTube presentations called “Garden Answer”.
