UPDATE: Looks like we need to pivot a bit for our Earth Day hike this weekend due to gathering numbers. However, Dr. Strang encouraged us all to still get outside and walk. Sometime over the new few days, get out and enjoy God’s good creation. Snap a photo of something that made you pause and thank God and share it to the church Facebook page! I’ll start, here’s a beautiful hyacinth on its way up offering hope of what will come!
Looking forward to rescheduling this hike when the time is right.
To celebrate Earth Day, all First Baptist families of any age are welcome to join in a light walk at Hemlock Ravine Park. We will meet at the heart shaped pond, just off the Kent Ave. parking lot at 10am on Saturday, April 24th. Strollers and four legged friends are welcomed. We’ll begin our walk together as a community on the school trail, and varying levels of difficulty and length can be found off that trail. (Visit https://www.halifaxtrails.ca/hemlock-ravine-park/ for more information on the different trails). This Earth day, let’s gather and celebrate the wonderful creation that helps us reflect on and know who God, our Creator, is.
If you plan to attend, please let Rev. Jenny Eisener know ([email protected]) so we can look for you at the pond.
