The Last Hurrah : An Afternoon of Cards

Do you play cards of any kind? Would you and your friends like to join us for an afternoon of fun?

The FBCH Auxiliary with the Community Outreach Committee invite you to join them for “The Last Hurrah” – An Afternoon of Cards. Join us April 27th from 2-4:30pm for cards, tea and sweets, table and door prizes, and the opportunity to purchase tickets to win a special gift basket, value over $100.

Why :
First Baptist Church Halifax (FBCH) is getting ready to decommission its Assembly Room- A ‘gathering’ spot that has offered community and congregational events for well over 70 years! By coming-together we can celebrate and use this opportunity to raise a few funds in support of Joan’s Table*, and for renovations to the NEW FBCH Kitchen.

When: Saturday April 27th, 2-4:30 pm

Where: FBCH Assembly Room

Cost: $60/table ($15 per person). Only 30 tables will be sold! Tables (of 4) must be purchased by April 21 st. Bring your own cards, tallies/score cards and table cover, if needed.
Tables can be purchased by contacting the Alberta Morgan, Karen Hudson, Gwendolyn Maclean or Peggy Dunbar. Payment details will be provided once your table(s) have been booked.

What:
We are happy to host tables of Bridge, Spades, Crib, Canasta, Quiddler, Mahjong, Scrabble, etc.

*In partnership with Shelter Nova Scotia, Joan’s Table is a volunteer-based initiative that provides regular, healthy meals to the 12 residents at Herring Cove Apartments and the 19 residents at The Rebuilding Apartment in Halifax.
