It is with breaking hearts that we advise of the unexpected passing of Chuck on July 16th, 2021 at the age of 72.
Chuck was the son of the late Charles L. Illsley and Sara E Illsley (nee Lewis).
Chuck was larger than life itself. His passions were his family, building and motorcycles. Chuck always said “if it was made by man, he could make it or fix it”. He was always reading about and searching the internet for new products and better ways of doing things. Loved getting new construction tools and electrical gadgets. Chuck could build anything and fix anything. Chuck received many accolades through his 48 years as a General Contractor. He was always happy to advise, assist and share his vast knowledge on everything. He especially was so very proud to pass on his knowledge to his daughter Robyn who has followed him into the building world.
Chuck is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Lynne (nee Hooper). His beloved daughter Robyn Illsley (Rick MacKay). His sister Sharon Hibbits (Vaughn Hibbits); his nephew Brian Hibbits & his sons, Dean and Drew; his niece Cathy Hibbits. Also surviving are all the Simpson, Wilson and Davis cousins who were a large part of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday September 25th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, by invitation, with a reception to follow. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
