On April 7, 2024, Marjorie Morrison passed away in Halifax, NS. Marjorie was born in Toronto, on October 20, 1922, the first of three children born to William J. and Marjorie (Murney) Long. She married Ian Spence Morrison on June 18, 1943, and was widowed when her husband, a veterinary doctor in Simcoe, ON was killed in a car accident in 1959. From this point onward Marjorie dedicated herself to raising her three sons. She bought a home in Burlington, ON in 1964, the year her youngest began kindergarten, her middle son began junior high and her eldest began high school. In 1999 Marjorie moved to Halifax where she has enjoyed watching her youngest grandchildren grow up. Marjorie was a woman of deep faith, who relied upon and experienced the faithful guidance and help of God throughout her life. She leaves her sons and their wives, David and Linda of White Rock, BC, Paul and Gail of Whistler, BC and Ian and Barbara of Halifax, and six grandchildren, Kaleb (Erin Flegg), Kerry, Ian, Andrew, Julia (Tim Mombourquette) and Kathleen, her sister Audrey, as well as several nieces, a nephew, and two great grandchildren. Marjorie was 101 years of age with a sharp mind and a generous spirit. Special thanks to the dedicated staff of Princess Lane of Parkstone Enhanced Care for their generous, kind and loving care.
