PATRICIA LORRAINE FRIEDRICH

January 10, 1933 – February 18, 2025

We are sad to announce that our beloved mom and grandmother passed away into eternity very peacefully in Charlottetown, PEI after a brief illness.

Mom was born in Vancouver, BC. She was an only child. In her teens she met her lifelong love, Carl, at a Bible camp. They both attended Briercrest Bible Institute in Saskatchewan, then served as missionaries in Panama for a brief period. When they returned to BC Dad became a pastor and Mom found her calling as a devoted pastor’s wife and mother.

Eventually they settled in Kingston, ON for nearly 40 years. They had a wide circle of wonderful friends and made many happy memories there. Due to health concerns it became necessary to relocate to Charlottetown in 2017.

Mom had a lovely singing voice and she and Dad often sang solos and duets at church. She was a passionate gardener and knitter. Homemaking was her specialty and she loved to prepare meals for countless dinner guests over the years. And most of all, she loved her children and being a mom. Her unwavering faith in God saw her through life’s joys and challenges.

Mom is survived by her children Dawn (Karen) of Halifax, NS, Debbie of Kingston, ON, Wes (Sheila) of Ottawa and their son Creighton (Rachel), and Carl (Sheryl) of Charlottetown, PEI and their children Jonathan, Daniel, Anna and Andrew. She is predeceased by her husband Carl in 2018 and her son Calvin in 2009. She is also survived by Calvin’s children Johanna, Josh and Ben.

A family gathering will take place in Charlottetown on February 21 to celebrate the life of our dear mom and grandma.

Mom, you may be gone but your spirit will remain in our

hearts forever. We will cherish our memories of you.
